NO ! You don't have to print off all of these numbers. Just print off a couple of rows that cover the exchange rate you expect to get over the period of your holidays.
The
tables
show
the
conversion
of
rupiah
back into
Australian
dollars,
but
instead
of
dollars
the
figures
could
represent
Polynesian
Seashells,
Irish
Punts,
American
Dollars
or
anything
else
as
long
as
you
have
selected
the
right
exchange
rate
(in
the
top
row
of
each
table
and
coloured
yellow
in
the
first
row)
for
your
own
particular
currency.
I like this format because it converts rupiah back into your own currency. In Bali you will be bargaining in rupiah so it comes first in the tables and then you can check the Cheat Sheet and see the value of those rupiah in your own familiar monetary terms. If it doesn't print exactly as you want it, wrong size letters to fit your pocket or the phrases don't line up exactly as they do here, just cut and paste it into a new 'Word' document and make whatever changes you want. I’ve included 100 Rupiah conversions to remind you that if you’re haggling in Rp100 amounts then you’re getting high blood pressure over just 3 cents at the most – and it’s really not worth it.
