The Year of the Bags - NEGARA 1. The Alas Kasih orphans, 2005.

These are the photos of the Negara kids (in August 2005) with their toiletry bags and soft toys.

The pictures will be a bit slow to load because I've been asked to post them with enough detail to be printed off at about postcard size so that the donors can have a print of 'their child and their bag'.

Very happy to oblige, and thank you to all who helped.

If you can't find your bag here there are other photos of orphanages and the old folks home on other pages, or it might be one that remains to be distributed on a future trip.

Our next project will be pillow cases, either bought or made from scratch, preferably not white but in bright colours and with some sort of decoration so that the kids can quickly tell which is theirs.

There are other photos of the kids and the orphanage facilities at '05Negara2.htm (just click on this link) if you really want to see how and where they live. I suggest that you don't do it while you're having lunch.
